The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is company?s first Android-powered device. But being first does not always leads to a good review. You have to face some serious initial expectations and justify them. That is the best case scenario. But obviously Sony Ericsson haven?t read that script. Even now, several months after our two XPERIA X10 previews, there are still some final touches needed.

We really hope we?ll get a new software update quite soon and we?ll be able to review many of the stuff we frowned at this time around.

That put aside, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is a promising device with (mostly) bright future waiting for it. It?s quite a looker, as you see, but it?s also powerful and smart.

You just can?t miss the zippy 1GHz processor, or the marvelous 4? capacitive display which takes the whole front. The 8-megapixel autofocus snapper on the back either. On top of that you get great connectivity capabilities and all the popular social networks which are a tap away from you no matter where you are in the phone menu.

XPERIA X10 RELEASE DATE

Xperia X10 is the hottest upcoming model from Sony Ericsson with the release date is said to be on the first quarter of 2010. Too bad Xperia X10 geeks won’t be able to buy one as gifts for themselves this Christmas. They’ll just have to wait until the release date comes. Well I think it’s worth the wait because the Xperia X10 is one exciting mobilephone as this is Sony Ericsson’s first snapdragon device with Adroid OS as the cherry topping.

At its release date (hopefully by February) the unit is bug free and on its perfect working condition because according to our source, the UI is still far from being settled. So hopefully when the actual Xperia X10 release date comes, my expectations will be filled. But as for now let’s take a quick look what comes with the cake below.

ERICSSON T18 LAPTOP SCAM

I would say that the Ericsson T18 laptop scam is the most effective email scam/chain email that I ever encountered. Just as of today I received 18 Ericsson T18 laptop scam emails from my different set of friends. This chain email really disturbs me on a variety of levels. Let me enumerate them for you.

1. I couldn’t believe how gullible people are. In these day and age, who would give away anything for free.

2. Sony Ericsson only manufactures mobile phones.

3. Ericsson T18 and Ericsson R320 are older models that have now been discontinued.

3. Chain letters are a technique used by spammers to gather email addresses. Every time you forward this email to your friends, your email address and theirs is getting added to the main text of this email that will eventually get in the hands of hundreds of people you don?t even know. Eventually, you’ll receive more spam emails just like the Ericsson T18 laptop scam.

Before getting your hopes up and before forwarding this kind of junk, it’s so easy to find out the truth by simply searching on search engines. It only takes 30 seconds.

GPRS, MMS, 3G SETTINGS FOR SONY ERICSSON PHONES

There are lots of tutorials on setting up SMART or GLOBE GPRS/3G settings for Sony Ericsson mobile phones. But most people don’t know that there’s an easier way. Here’s how:

1. Go to Sony Ericsson Support

2. Look for the “quick links” box

4. Then click Phone settings for Mobile Internet (WAP) or MMS or E-mail

3. Select your phone model

5. Follow the instructions and enter the correct info on the dropdown menu

6. The settings will be sent on your phone. Remember to click install when you received it.
