BEST TABLET PC FOR 2011
Christmas is almost here and the nicest thing I always wanted to do is making that Christmas wishlist. I’ll make a separate post for my 2011 Christmas wishlist but I wanted to show you guys the thing that may get on the top of my list. It’s the best tablet PC for 2011 for me and that is the ASUS Eee Transformer Prime. This beauty is boasting the best and fastest processor for a tablet PC. It has the zippy NVidia Tegra 3 1.4GHz quad-core processor, I also think that this is the fastest processor in 2011 (just guessing hehe). Now the reason that I like this so much is the that it runs the latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich. But enough about me, below is a quick spec review of the ASUS Eee Transformer Prime. You’ll find out why this is the best tablet PC for 2011.
Here’s the list below:
10.1″ Super IPS+ display @ 1280×800 pixels
Gorilla Glass
NVidia Tegra 3 1.4GHz quad-core processor
32GB and 64GB internal storage
1GB DDR2 RAM
1.2MP front-facing camera
8MP autofocus camera with LED flash
3.5mm mic & headphone combo jack
micro HDMI port
micro SD card slot
USB 2.0 port (dock)
SD Card slot (dock)
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth 2.1 w/ EDR
Google Android 3.2 Honeycomb
Other notes about the Transformer Prime according to Yugatech.com , “The tablet weighs 1.18 pounds, including the dock. While the original Asus Transformer was in the 0.5-inch thick, the Transformer Prime shaved it down to 0.33″. Battery life was also improved to 12 hours for the tablet alone and 18 hours when attached to the dock.
As for pricing, the 32GB model will retail for $499 in the US and $599 for the 64GB. I expect the same Php22k price point (just like the old Transformer) for the 32GB when it hits the Philippines.”
Well there you go! That’s the best tablet PC for 2011. Hopefully I helped you get an idea on what to include in your shopping list. Have fun with it and write me a comment.
