Here’s a list of my top 5 best smartphones of 2011. These are the best in their class. All of them boast gorgeous display, slim bodies, dual core processors, superb cameras with LED flash and a whole lot of connectivity. Here goes the list after the jump.

1. MOTOROLA RAZR

Motorola RAZR won 1st place in my heart because this is the slimmest of them all.  With a mind boggling waistline of 7.1 mm.

2. SONY ERICSSON EXPERIA ARC

I like this one because between the five of them, only Sony Ericsson Experia Arc has a gorgeous metal body.

3. APPLE IPHONE 4S

I’m not an apple fan, but I just need to include the iPhone 4S or apple fanatics will kill me. (I know they will, cause some strange van is waiting outside my house…)

4. Samsung Galaxy Nexus

TOP 5 BEST SMARTPHONES OF 2011

Among the bunch, the Nexus has the largest screen with a 4.65 inch LCD real estate.

5. Samsung Galaxy S II

This was my first favorite until top 1 to 4 came along. So I still need to include this. But still this is one of the best.

“It’s not as thin as the Galaxy S2 but very close to it at 8.94mm. Most probably, the HSPA+ variant will arrive in the Philippines instead of the LTE one since our telcos aren’t ready yet to roll out the latter to the public.

The Galaxy Nexus will first be released in Europe, US and Asia this November followed by a global release in the following months. We don’t have any idea on the price though but we’ll update once we get additional details.”

SAMSUNG GALAXY S II REVIEW

This is not totally a Samsung Galaxy S II review, but somehow more like an infatuation with a mobile device. I have a happy time with my Omnia II with android froyo, just happily tapping my day to day communication life. But while in a Mall,  I accidentally stumbled upon a shiny black and sexy thing in a Telco shop. I got curious. Made a closer look. I took a hold onto it and then… BAAAM! It was love at first sight. I fell in love with the Samsung Galaxy S II. So I hurriedly went home, opened my computer and made this review.

While writing this, I was giggling like a little girl. All that runs in my head is how can I get me one of those sexy Samsung Galaxy S II. I have some choices;  beg money from my parents or sell my kidney or maybe wait in a dark corner of an alley and then…(oh forget about it). Maybe some telco shop may give me a unit if I write them a good review. I believe patience is a virtue, I’ll get one before the year ends. But for now I’ll give you the Samsung Galaxy S II key features.

See that?! Did you see how much power it has in its hood? That what makes me fall in love with a mobile phone. But before I end up this review I would like to say there are no such thing as perfect. It also has its flaws. But only minimal and not too much to gripe about. Here it is:

• All-plastic body
• No dedicated camera key
• Super slim body has poor grip when taking pictures
• Non-hot-swappable microSD card
